Voice2Star was a company started by former Xspedius employees to sell satellite telephone equipment and service plans. This freelance project was referred to me by a former supervisor as I began work for Nicholls. The clients needed a logo and a simple brochure style website to showcase their products and options for satellite telephones. Like many clients they needed the work completed quickly, so I still think the project could have used a little more time. I believe the logo and website production were completed in less than 30 days. The website was mostly static HTML with a small set of custom PHP scripts to make minor sales notice updates.
This is another early website completed as a freelance project after working as an Assistant Professor for Louisiana Tech. Vineyard Furniture is located in Winnsboro, Louisiana, and had a large catalog of furniture items that they wanted to be showcased for furniture dealers and potential customers on their website. The final site used custom PHP scripts with text files to produce a catalog style site that allowed visitors to see various furniture collections with photos.
This was a small project to build a flash menu for a kitchen sink manufacturer completed sometime in the late 1990’s.
The screen shot is actually the completed project document that was sent to the client with the final Flash animation project. The final documents included the Flash source code along with documentation for manipulating the menu items and the images for the Flash movie.
The Loose Caboose Coffee House in Monroe, Louisiana as owned and operated by my roommates. I even had a small percentage stake in the coffee house, and help out from time to time. Most of my assistance came in the form of creating cleaned up logos, newspaper ads, fliers, and maintaining the Loose Caboose web site.
Gary Hauser, Professor of Graphic Design, at Louisiana Tech designed this brochure for the city of Ruston, Louisiana. He asked me to complete a cleaned up production ready file. This included some of the graphic chart elements and setting up the file for four color separation with a gloss for the bow on the cover.
This was another project where I worked on the final production. The original book design was by Jennifer Anderson and I was asked to set up the final files for print. There were a couple of special pages using velum and spot colors that required some special production work.
Southern Voices was a publication highlighting a collection of entries into an annual writing competition for the Cedar Creek School in Ruston, Louisiana.
This was a quick logo done for a collective group of Ruston, Louisiana based musicians. It was just a very quick logo to help them promote their gigs as a collective group comprised of two normally separate bands. This was completed sometime in 1994 while I was still enrolled at Louisiana Tech.
Inspiration was the center label for classic blues vinyl records. This is the color version. The logo was mostly used in black and white for fliers.
