Jeanie’s Monogramming was another project completed for Eye Candy Creative. This website was for a catalog site that would offer an e-commerce solution for ordering customized products. Eye Candy Creative created the initial designs and hired me to create the website and e-commerce system.
This website uses WordPress for content management with the WP e-Commerce WordPress plugin to handle order processing and online payments through PayPal. The website has a custom theme allowing different slight modifications based on simple WordPress custom fields.
The Ledet Management Website was completed for the W.L. Gaiennie Company in 2007. This uses WordPress for content management and was hosted with Yahoo.
This was a customized WordPress site used as a simple CMS brochure style website for the W. L. Gaiennie Company in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Unfortunately I do not have the full sized screenshots before this client redesigned this site.
Voice2Star was a company started by former Xspedius employees to sell satellite telephone equipment and service plans. This freelance project was referred to me by a former supervisor as I began work for Nicholls. The clients needed a logo and a simple brochure style website to showcase their products and options for satellite telephones. Like many clients they needed the work completed quickly, so I still think the project could have used a little more time. I believe the logo and website production were completed in less than 30 days. The website was mostly static HTML with a small set of custom PHP scripts to make minor sales notice updates.
I was hired at Xspedius by a former iAmerica supervisor and friend. Xspedius was a communication provider located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. I was originally hired to be the company webmaster but conflicts within the organization restricted my work to maintaining secondary sites and user interfaces for customer web applications. I did some decent development work for Xspedius, but I always regret that corporate politics kept me from doing more. I did not actually design the home page shown here, but I keep the screenshot to remind that should not allow the events at Xspedius to happen again for the sake of any future client or employer. All the other images are from websites or utilities that I created.
This is another early website completed as a freelance project after working as an Assistant Professor for Louisiana Tech. Vineyard Furniture is located in Winnsboro, Louisiana, and had a large catalog of furniture items that they wanted to be showcased for furniture dealers and potential customers on their website. The final site used custom PHP scripts with text files to produce a catalog style site that allowed visitors to see various furniture collections with photos.
iAmerica was an Internet Service Provider located in Monroe, Louisiana in the late 1990’s. They part of LDS Communications and offered Internet, Hosting, and other data services to decent sized multiple state region.
I worked for iAmerica between 1995 and 1999. I could not write about iAmerica without giving that team of passionate hacker geeks credit for giving the best post-college education anyone could hope for. At iAmerica my eyes were opened to computing and communication technology. I learned to never stop learning and iAmerica became the foundation of my mostly Web based career.
