WP Super Edit 1.1.2

It’s only a couple of little things changed for this release.

The big deal for this release is an attempt to thwart WordPress plugins that put javascript in the WP Super Edit administration panel. Why does “UberWicked Whatsits Plugin” need to put 200 lines of JS into every stinking Dashboard panel?

I don’t know!

This update will cover some overzealous plugins, and the cleanup was done so I can move forward on WP Super Edit this Fall.

WP Super Edit 1.1 – Updated with Interesting Feature / Bug

WP Super Edit Arrange Editor ButtonsWP Super Edit was updated today.

In case you don’t know, WP Super Edit is a WordPress plugin for the visual or WYSIWYG editor used to edit posts and pages. WP Super Edit is designed to enhance the editor by adding features and buttons. It also gives control of the editor by allowing the buttons to be arranged using a simple drag and drop interface.

I’ll briefly outline the changes, and add notes about a very interesting bug feature.

WP Super Edit 1.0

I should have changed the name.

WP Super Edit is a WordPress Plugin designed to make some dramatic changes to the WordPress TinyMCE Visual / WYSIWYG editor.

It has a ton of features including; A drag-drop interface to arrange buttons, additional TinyMCE plugins and buttons, and a framework for doing some advanced button creation.

I completely rewrote this based on my previous experiment with using TinyMCE which was mostly a failure, but I did learn a few things along the way. ( I say failure, but I was able to use my newfound knowledge to help out with the WPG2 and EventCalendar Plugins.)

Sadly, this plugin requires WordPress 2.1 or higher, and you should always be using the most current and secure version of WordPress available!

There is a ton of information on the WP Super Edit Project area!

Karma wants a bone

It’s really a yawn… truly.

Karma is currently addicted to very cheap W*lmart rawhide, so she insists that we give her one every night. If you know our dog, then you know she is very timid. But if you deny her a processed pet treat then she may do this “sort of Yawn” that shows her teeth. Caidy was fortunate to catch this on our camera.
