The Employment Journal was a tabloid style newsprint publication for career and employment news in Louisiana. It was originally managed by Erik Pearson the brother of the late Alicia Pearson of Pearson Design. I did mostly the final design and production for several issues until Peason Design closed.

These are a couple of the projects completed for Community Trust Bank while I was working at Pearson Design. One was an informative two color brochure for their telephone banking program. The other was the design for a loan application kiosk. I find it ironic how the web has changed things.

Gary Hauser, Professor of Graphic Design, at Louisiana Tech designed this brochure for the city of Ruston, Louisiana. He asked me to complete a cleaned up production ready file. This included some of the graphic chart elements and setting up the file for four color separation with a gloss for the bow on the cover.

This was an entry into an poster contest for promoting art scholarships to the Louisiana Tech School of Art. The design called for a pretty complicated two color print that was ruled two expensive. I didn’t win the competition, but pushing the limits of two color print work was very interesting.

This was a typography student project. I occasionally examine the original file for this simply because the mathematics of the composition were really good. Download: Everywhere Typography (AI)
